MARLOW TO BE OVERRUN WITH FLOWERS

2010-05-19

The Festival is being held in All Saints Church (by the Bridge) during Marlow Town Regatta weekend - 12th and 13th June.

Top floral arrangers from around the district are finalising the designs of the 37 separate floral displays and shortly the massive task of purchasing flowers and transforming these designs into exciting displays will take place.

The theme of the Festival, “The River from Source to Sea” , was chosen for it’s wide appeal giving scope for religious and secular titles for placements such as “Tales of the Riverbank”, “The parting of the Red Sea”, “The River of Life”, “Marlow Olympians”, “Messing about on the River” and many others.

The Flower Festival will raise funds to support the recently appointed Marlow Community Youth Worker. This is very much a Community based project with enormous opportunities to provide Marlow Youth with a safe environment where they can enjoy themselves whilst helping them to become involved in projects that will give them a sense of achievement and enable them to make a positive contribution the local community.
