At This year's event, you will still be able to see amongst others:

Jeweller Erica Sharpe, winner of the prestigious British Jeweller’s Award 2012, and also recently commissioned to make a very special jewel for auction at a prestigious 2012 Olympian event, hosted by Seb Coe to raise funds for the Millfield Foundation scholarships and bursaries. At Art in Action Erica will be smelting Cornish tin from its native rock, and then combining it with gold, silver and gemstones to create fine jewellery.

Rachel Elliott who will be demonstrating in the Glass marquee, and has had a sculpture accepted into the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy. A piece from the same series will also be exhibited in the best of the best show at Art in Action.

Rosamond Lloyd, an Oxfordshire sculptor, whose work was short-listed for Wildlife Artist of the Year 2011. Rosamond’s piece – The Art of Nurture, a bronze sculpture depicting a female baboon and her baby, was a great favourite with the judges. You can see Rosamond and her piece Sculpture marquee at Art in Action where she will be demonstrating and work with students of the Art Academy.

David Holmes, new to Art in Action and described as ‘achingly dapper’. He began his career in advertising and became the co-founder and Creative Director of Holmes Knight Ritchie. He has illustrated for the Chelsea Flower Show, the Los Angeles Times and he recently designed a stamp to celebrate the Olympics.


There will be approximately 150 artists demonstrating in painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, calligraphy, illustration, glass, metalwork, jewellery, textiles and woodwork. In addition there is live music, performing arts from around the world, lectures and practical classes.
