NEW Show: Tobias Clarke's Country - Saturday 2pm
Tobias Clarke, an ex-resident of Marlow, starts his new country show on Marlow FM (2pm - 4pm). Tobias got his first radio break aged 12 helping out on the Rodney Collins country show filing all the cd’s and record’s.
Proud dad, Reg Clarke, a TV producer, explained the Rodney Collins Show has over a million listeners as it is syndicated world wide. Tobias, who is about to start studying for his GCSEs at the March school, has helped co-present the Gene Pitney show with Rodney and some of the listeners from there have promised to tune in to Marlow FM for Tobias’ big break.
Tobias gained his love of country music from his family, Tobias has taken a particular love in the newer style country rock but still enjoys classic old style country. His first concert was Dwight Yoakam about 3 months before he was born.
Since then he has seen Dierks Bentley, Zac Brown, Martina McBride, The Shires and many others including his favourites Florida Georgia Line and Brantley Gilbert.
He loves all things Americana from Trucks to food. He is still in full time secondary education and despite taking some stick from teachers and classmates, Tobias has stuck with country and hopes to bring his love to a whole new generation of music fans.
“I haven’t got any real plans but I know I would like to be a DJ when I leave school. I’m hoping I will be able to go straight into radio and work my education around that,” said Tobias who will be playing more “modern and trendy” country music like Toby Keith and Blake Shelton.
