The MarlowFM Music Festival 2010
Bigger and Better! A Great day of Live Music - not to be missed. Go here for more details.
To Infinity and Beyond...
MarlowFM were awarded a 5 year FM community radio licence back in September 2009. We will have our permanent studio base, transmitter and aerial in place by the end of the year and our aim is to launch our FM service on Monday 14th February 2011.
We still need to find the necessary money required to build and equip our studios and maintain the service for the first year. We need financial support from local businesses, organisations, enterprises, elected bodies, community groups, clubs and philanthropic individuals - and we could do with the funds right now. If you feel you can help by making a donation, becoming a sponsor or can assist us by providing goods or services we may require, please let us know by using the contact form or call Paul Mansell on 07966 131707.
These are certainly exciting times and we're looking forward to getting our FM broadcast service up and running. If you'd like to be kept up to date with developments, then you can sign up as a 'Friend of MarlowFM' and we'll add your name to our email list. We have over 200 registered 'Friends of MarlowFM' who have pledged to give their time, skills, expertise or just simply their support. If you would like to contribute towards the successful development of community radio in Marlow or get involved in any way, please send us a message using the contact us form. There is inevitably a great deal to be done, and lots of ways you can get involved, but if you can direct any money our way it would be much appreciated!
A Personal Message
from Sir Steve Redgrave, Patron of MarlowFM

In just a relatively short period of time, this radio station has established itself firmly at the heart of the community, broadcasting live on the internet from the majority of the major community events that take place in and around Marlow throughout the year, providing a great musical backdrop and helping to promote local musicians and singers.
Schools, churches and other local organisations have benefited greatly from MarlowFM supplying everything from the music for discos and functions to complete public address systems and they have quite rightly received many accolades. There is no commercial radio station serving Marlow. In 2007, MarlowFM expressed a desire to gain a 5 year FM community radio licence and so conducted a 4very successful 4 week trial centred around the annual Marlow Town Festival & Regatta. This was repeated in the summer of 2009; again an amazing success and saw all parts of the community come together to provide a unique service for the people of Marlow. Having been interviewed on the station during both trial periods and witnessing first hand the enthusiasm of all those involved, I was pleased to be invited to become their Patron.
OfCOM have now awarded the station their FM licence and I urge everyone to get behind this valuable project that brings together our amazing community and give Marlow a radio station to be proud of, namely MarlowFM.

'A Radio Station for The People, of The People.'
"Marlow FM aims to provide a welcoming and unbiased environment that is accessible to all our community, that focuses on local needs and fosters development from within.
We intend to provide access to all so that social issues affecting our community can be openly discussed at a community level, empowering individuals, groups and organisations alike by giving them an effective medium through which they can air their opinions, express their feelings and develop their creativity.
MarlowFM will aspire to greatness, providing the best service to our listeners that is possible, but most importantly, ensure that everyone has fun achieving it."
