We join with Marlow Museum to remember Michael Eagleton
Marlow Museum’s new exhibition, Marlow’s Mr Jazz, a celebration of the life and achievements of Michael Eagleton, opens on Saturday 23rd May. During the exhibtion’s run, we’ll be repeating some of Michael’s classic programmes.

Michael, our dear colleague and friend, died on 9th September 2024. He was a founding member of our wonderful radio station, and his many many programmes were loved by thousands across the world.
You’ll be able to hear Michael on Marlow FM every weekday from 9am to 10am next week and the week after, and every Sunday night from 10pm for the next few weeks. You’ll also be able to Listen Again (the shows will appear under ‘Special Programme’).
We entered Michael’s popular Marlow Memories programme into the 2025 Community Radio Awards. You can listen to the entry below.
We hope you enjoy hearing the special sound of Michael Eagleton once again, and encourage you to visit the exhibition*.
There’ll also be a jazz evening in memory of Michael at Court Garden House on Saturday 18th July, with music by top jazz musicians Five-Way Split. Tickets go on sale soon.
Michael chose not to have a funeral or memorial service, so this exhibition and concert will be the first chance that people in Marlow have to come together and celebrate Michael’s life. We all hope it’ll be a fitting tribute.
*Museum opening hours are always dependent on volunteers being available. New volunteers will be warmly welcomed to help keep the museum open regularly. Please email manager@marlowmuseum.org if you’re interested.
